Larger than Life

My large scale work maintains the ratio of positive and negative space present in my wire work, but at this scale the thicker rods act more as object than boundary. I use a combination of old school and new school techniques in my practice, using heat to forge the thick steel rods into the smooth curves and lines of my smaller work. Electricity is used to weld the rods together, and the each work is finished in acrylic for multicolor indoor work or a weather resistant powder coat for outdoor display or humid environments.
