Wall Based Wire Work

Wall based wire sculpture ensures a clean background and controlled approach to the image. In seeking clarity, I have found myself drawn to the wall more. The work becomes far closer to drawing, with the wall as canvas and wire as line lifting off the page; and in the process I have found the transient effects of light produce dynamic and playful shadows. Much like in my three dimensional work, I oscillate between simplicity and complexity, but always with a focus on the figure.
